Manufacturing is very important because it literally manufactures most of the things we use daily in our lives. These include toothbrushes, bicycles, toys, and cars. Manufacture involves producing something from raw materials. This, however can be very time and cost-intensive. Step into the realm of metal additive printing: a niche technology that makes processing these alloys much easier and quicker.  


Additive printing is about manufacturing an object layer by layer. We do this by means of the help of a machine known as a 3D printer. It is a device that turns digital designs into concrete, solid objects. Let's draw a drawing with a pen just for the sake of analogy in order to make this a bit easier to understand. Just as a printer puts ink on paper, a 3D printer draws from materials and makes that picture layer by layer. Examples include titanium and aluminum, even gold! Now let's understand how it works: Here's the primary step-metal powder is spread in an extremely thin layer. Then, the powder is melted by a laser or electron beam into whatever form that design would require. And so the process is repeated until the final product is completed. It's an awesome method that's being so significantly accurate that enables us to produce items with details that would be incredibly difficult to create otherwise through traditional manufacturing techniques. Well, it's like frosting a cake and adding layers until it becomes a pretty and delicious creation!
